Ok, so I’m back on this older essay of yours because I’m curious how you found the blog post linked in the caption of the Wheel of the Year imagine? I went back and found this post because from that link I found out the writer, Stevie, of the blog you reference lives near me. And it turns out she hosts events centered on the seasons and gathering women. I finally went to one on Sunday—the Lammas event—and it was really lovely. I plan on attending more events in the future. I don’t know that I would have found it without this serendipitous link. So huge thank you, Lindsey!

Ema!! This makes me so happy! I didn’t have any connection to Stevie except loving that image of the wheel! 😍

Truly, wildly serendipitous then. I think this essay might have also been one of the first of yours I read too. Grateful!

I’ve just started learning about & observing the wheel over the past year or so and agree that having a celebration, even a tiny one, brings something to look forward to and a greater sense of connection to the earth. So glad I found your Substack!

Have you seen that instagram/ tik tok pairing Snoop Dogg talking about Bluey? I’ll try to send it to you. He says “that dude don’t miss” or something like that. today reading a Pema quote I had the same thought. Do we ever need to read a book by anyone else, ever? No! That said, maybe this will be the year I actually read Kate Bowler. Thank you for this rec. And I need a tapestry of that BBT cover hanging above my bed! 🦉 🌕 finally: “in the belly.” 💓

Feeling the need to send extra love (endlessly) for that complicated birth, follow-up surgery, and the ripples your body feels at this time because of both ❤️‍🩹💞❤️‍🩹💕 the description of staring at the crows out the hospital window, however, brought such calm to my body. 🖤

Thank you for taking the time to read, Kara. And I’m appreciating and feeling the warmth of the care you are sending ✨✨ I know you understand. I actually have a photo of the mist and the crows still on my phone - maybe I should frame it. And pema forever amen. Erin & Carl too. I went to meditation last week and pretty much cried through the whole thing. And please please send snoop if you find him 🤣 my kids were home sick today and we survived on bluey.

I'm so glad you can feel the care. Yes to Erin & Carl forever. Soooo nourishing. I love the thought of framing that photo. And hate that everyone was home sick today. Unfair!
