Great post, as always. And relatable! While we don’t have a ton planned this summer, I already feel exhausted from mothering duties. Ah well, I’ll be seeking connection, too.
Loved this spiritually refreshing reflection, Lindsey, especially this line: “We stepped off the conveyor belt of clock time and traveled into a realm of presence and connection.” You made such a perfect connection between feeling trapped by chronos and the entrapment of the 8 of swords, and then the escape to kairos time. Well done! Thanks for the shoutout too! Hope you find friendly skies and happy trails on vacation!
Thank you!! I finally got a chance to listen to the podcast while I was on a beautiful walk around a lake. It was so perfect. I think the host mentioned the conveyor belt too. I also liked how she said kairos can be the time after a natural disaster - like a snowstorm - when we literally have to stop and exit our “normal” time. I have so many fond memories of snow storms and how it forced our family to spend time together and play!
Yes! Snowstorms! I love waking up and looking out the window to discover everything draped in white as thick flakes float down in the perfect quiet! Kairos time for sure!
Kairos time! Yes! That was my night tonight. Kayaking until 8:00 and then realizing it was 9:00 and I was starving! Late dinner it was. Enjoy your beach time!
Love this! What a beautiful perspective on time!
Thank you, Kandi! 🩷

And connection without kids is important too!🩷

Also, making a list of parks we want to visit this summer and I’m excited to take nature lessons with us as we explore 💚
I’m jealous - haven’t been kayaking in ages! Thanks!
